Herewith your weekly reminder of the activities for the week 9 - 13 June.

Monday 9 June:  Poetry Appreciation at 101 Stirling Lodge at 10.00.  Please bring 2 poems by any of the following: Robert Browning, Emily Bronte, Matthew Arnold, Emily Dickinson, Gerard Manley-Hopkins.

Tuesday 10 June: Play Reading in the Indaba Room, The Valley, from 15:00 – 16:00.

Wednesday 11 June: Film Club in the Oak Room, Parklands, at 14:00.

The film, ‘Baghdad Café’, is an outstanding account of friendship between two lost and lonely women - played out in a desolate desert oasis.

Wednesday 11 June: Samba in the Oak Room, Parklands from 09:30 – 12:00. Please note: July’s Samba will be on Wednesday 2 July in order to accommodate a function at Parklands.

Thursday 12 June:  General Meeting in the Roof Garden, The Valley, at 10:00. Guest Speaker Chris Pretorious will speak about Owls. Tea/coffee will be served from 09:30.

Friday 13 June: Mahjongh/Mhing in the Oak Room, Parklands, from 09:20 – 12:00.
